50-year-old man dies after motorbike accident at Dixon motocross park
Officials said it’s not clear at this time whether the crash caused the fatality.
DIXON, Calif. — A man died after a motorbike accident in Dixon Sunday morning.
According to the Vacaville Fire Protection District, the crash was reported at Argyll MX Park along Cook Lane, around 9:45 a.m.
Phil Jones, division chief for the Vacaville Fire Protection District, said the man was on a two-wheel motorbike riding at a high speed along the dirt racetrack when he went offroad and into a pond. It’s not clear why he went offroad at this time.
“We can’t say the crash caused the fatality,” Jones said.
Jones said he was unconscious above the water and was pulled from the pond by fire personnel. Despite CPR, personnel from the fire district and Vacaville Fire Department pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Solano County Sheriff’s Office only described him as a 50-year-old man. The release of his identity is still pending next of kin.
